It's all set! The Continental Club has (Houston Press award winning!) 80's cover band The Ringwalds every Friday night, and they've agreed to let us in early at 5pm (on Friday, Aug. 15th) to eat and mingle before the public comes in at 7 to see the band. The band will play from 7 to 10 so we can dance and drink, and there are quieter rooms in the back where we can chat and catch up. At 10 anybody that wants to can stay for the next band- there might be an additional cover for that, I'm checking into it- or we can walk down a few doors to The Big Top, a quiet bar to drink and hang out 'til everybody's ready to go home.
I'm going to get the taco place next door to cater at 6 o'clock, and we can buy drinks at the bar, so it's only going to be $10 a person up front. Simple and cheap! I'm going to send out evites w/all this info, so check your email!
It would also be nice to have a REALLY casual get together on Saturday, just in case some of y'all can't make it on Friday, or want to bring your kids to show off. However, I have had ZERO luck finding parks and such online... If anybody wants to take over this aspect of the reunion, or just has an idea for a place, PLEASE let me know... Seriously, if somebody has a big enough backyard lets do it there....

An Explanation...
So it seems like a lot of people considered the reunion that Charles Allen planned last year to be our reunion as well, which to me is really funny, because I thought that was their reunion and they were just being nice and inviting us! ( I think I may have been the ONLY person that read it that way!) So I didn't go, and now I'm hoping that we can have our own actual 20 year reunion. From what I hear not that many people made it to his, and I think it's kinda cooler to do it on the 20 year mark... I mean, (as far as I can tell, knock on wood!) we've ALL survived 20 whole years since then! That's worth celebrating! Can I get a "Hell Yeah!"? anyone....?

Twenty Year Reunion!!!
The story so far: In early Spring I contacted Paul Stuenkle back at the old Lu of High, hoping to find out when our 20 yr. reunion was scheduled. (As I live in Colorado now, obviously I need a little lead time for travel arrangements.) Much to my surprise, he said nothing had been planned. Much to my shock and horror, he asked if I would like to plan it myself! I told him I'd give it a shot. So, here we are, a week or so away from the 1st day of Summer, and I'm finally ready to... well, contact some people and ask for some help!
Here's what I need:
~One or two co-planners. I have a lead or two on places to have the reunion, but I'd love the help of an organized person to help me pull it together. If you'd like to be my Houston liaison, please let me know.
~Updated contact info. Quite a number of people have fallen off the face of the earth, let's find them! Here's a list:
Julie Beckman, Denise Berry, David Cox, Vincent D'Anna, Kelly Counts, Michael Froelich, Mark Hutchins, Travis Jackson, Tracy Sadler, Heather Nesbitt, Stephanie Noles, Jason Pali, Rhonda Taylor, and Diane Uhl.
If you have info on any of these peeps, could you let me know? Unless they're in witness protection or something, I guess.
So, here's my plan.
Let's go ahead and schedule this thing for the weekend of August 15-17. That way everyone has time to make travel arrangements, lose 10 lbs., get Botoxed up... whatever you need to do.
I'd like to keep it simple and inexpensive, so if anybody wants to volunteer their ranch home or something, lemme know!
I'll keep you updated as I make progress, so check back fairly often.
Thanks a bunch, I can't wait to see everybody again!
You should be able to post responses directly to this, let me know if that doesn't work. My email is stacey2112@yahoo.com
